Once you begin your pre-launch and all the way through your launch, you have to reach out to your affiliates with something. It’s imperative that you find some reason to touch and rally people--not just once, but many times. Maybe early on you send out a video from one of your affiliates from a past launch talking about how many commissions they made. Maybe you find some other positive testimonials to share. It’s important to market to your affiliates in the same way you would market to your prospects and customers. The only difference is the sale. In the case of affiliates, you are selling them on promoting for you instead of buying the product. The better job you do, the more they will promote. The more they promote, the more money you and they will make.

Throughout the launch, I literally send something to my affiliates every day. While that may seem like a lot, those who are involved in the launch want to know on a daily basis who the leader is along with whatever else is going on. I do this to play on the egos of everyone who’s in the affiliate pot. I generally rotate between a video on one day and an email the next. I always time it to make sure that I shoot a few videos to get both a big start AND a big ending. You let your JV partners know where they are in the launch--and be sure to say their names out loud on your videos. Even people who might seemingly not need recognition still like hearing their names. Almost everyone enjoys getting their ego fluffed a bit.

Check out what’s going on in your launch and find something interesting to share. Maybe you have a ton of new people who have joined. Perhaps the traffic is way up on a given day. Whatever you can find. The key is to keep people involved and engaged. The more engagement you get, the more people will mail for you.

Communication is an amazing tool and too often we take it for granted. With your JV partners it can mean the difference between success and mediocrity in your launch.
